No prior cave trekking experience is needed. The jungle hike is of moderate difficulty (about 3 km each way). Life jackets are mandatory for all water activities inside and outside the cave, making it safe for non-swimmers under the supervision of our safety crew.
Wear quick-drying long pants and a lightweight shirt for the trek to protect against insect bites and sharp rocks. Pack a swimsuit, a small towel, dry clothes for changing after water sports, sunblock, insect spray, and a dry pouch for your phone.
You can travel with your full luggage on the Heritage Train. Once you arrive at Tho Loc Station, your heavy bags will remain safely inside our private vehicle while you carry only a small daypack into the jungle.
This standard itinerary ends at 17:30 in Phong Nha. If you need to return to Hue on the same evening, we can arrange a private car transfer or book an evening train/bus back to Hue upon request.
Light jungle rain adds to the adventure and does not disrupt the trek. However, in cases of extreme weather, heavy flooding, or park closures for safety reasons, we will notify you in advance to adjust the route, reschedule, or issue a full refund as per our safety policy.
